Gin and eau de vie tasting at Monachus
The summer came and with it the buzz of the village, crickets chirp, al fresco dining, sea dips, and watermelons- and our tasting season in the garden! Every summer, we organize gin and eaux de vie tasting for the spirits enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and curious passers-by alike.
We like to bring our products (and our philosophy behind them) closer to our visitors by explaining the process behind gin and eau de vie production, the importance of quality ingredients and of supporting organic farmers from the area, and the sustainability that we strive to.
To introduce you to the set of smells representative of our region, we start with aroma tasting of the botanicals our Monachus Dry Gin is made of. We use fresh botanicals in our gin production (as opposed to widely used dried botanicals), which gives it characteristic freshness and the intensity of flavors.

CONNOISSEURS TASTING for true spirit enthusiasts where we guide you through our entire selection of carefully produced gins and Eaux de vie. When creating our distillates, we are always ingredient-driven and extremely dedicated to extracting flavors and developing the recipes that speak of the ingredients. All of the distillates are served neat, with pauses in between the courses, to give you time to process, enjoy, and think about the flavors.
GARDEN G&T TASTING is intended for those that prefer their spirits diluted, and are here for a quick refreshment: we use organic tonic that complements our gin nicely, as well as garnish handpicked at the moment or dried citrus peel from our organic producer.
There are chairs and deckchairs and fairy lights, and the two of us ready to talk about spirits (and other things).
